Description
The City and County of Denver's Department of Transportation & Infrastructure is looking for dependable, self-directed Utility Workers (full time and part time) to assist with general labor, safety, and other work related tasks!
We have current openings on the following teams:
• Solid Waste Management - provides trash collection service, hazardous waste removal, recycling, composting and a graffiti removal program
• Street Maintenance - is responsible for filling potholes, repaving streets, sweeping streets, and removing snow from public streets and alleys
• Wastewater Management - oversees the construction, operation, and maintenance of the City’s sanitary and storm systems, and responds to customer inquiries regarding sewage and storm drainage service charges
As a Utility Worker II you will:
• Operate light-weight equipment powered by small engines
• Perform semi-skilled and light to heavy physical labor
• Service grounds equipment, vehicles, and machinery - minor repairs
• Assist in preventative maintenance of equipment by washing and servicing vehicles
