Voter ID, aka the current Republican cop out

Description

If an ID/Drivers license is good enough and secure enough to do the following (as illustrated in one posters picture): Buy alcohol, Buy a house, Open a bank account, Get a job, Buy cigarettes, and Purchase a gun. Then how at the same time is it so bad and not secure enough to register to vote. But lets pull the lens back a little bit more, when you get an ID/Drivers License you can also sign up for the draft, so tell me now, how is the information given when getting an ID/Drivers License so good and fool proof that you can register for the draft at the same time, but so bad and not secure enough to register to vote? If you say "but that's different and registering to vote should be more secure" then lets revamp the system to make it more secure instead of adding another pointless layer that will spread resources thin? In fact if ID/Drivers Licenses aren't secure enough to register to vote why are they good enough to buy a house or a gun? Why are high risk activities that could bankrupt someone or put them in jail forever (by connection of a gun) tied to something that you Republicans claim is insecure? Why are you rallying for voter id? If our ID and Drivers License system is so insecure why aren't you rallying for it to be revamped so it fits your standard of authentication? Oh that's right because its all a cop out, the real reason is so you can come back and say "well these voters didn't fit this criteria or jump through this extra hoop so their vote doesn't count" in a desperate attempt to win future elections by limiting who can vote. Trust me, when I say, we all see through this, even republicans see through this, house and senate republicans know that the only reason to push for voter id is to make it harder to vote in a desperate grab to win future elections. If you are so against communism, if you are so against socialism, you would be against limiting voters.
