Lancaster punk rock band Ford The River is seeking a new drummer. If not, no worries! Okay, so you've made it this far. You're a drummer and you like our music, awesome. Here are important details for you: 1. We're all in our mid-30's. We're not quitting our jobs to go on tour ever, we have no aspirations of making music our career. We all love music, but as a hobby at this point. 2. We're based in Lancaster, and we practice one night a week. Occasionally, we might get together more when we're recording new tracks, prepping for a show, etc, but generally, one night a week for 2-3 hours is all the time commitment we ask. 3. Our main goals are to practice one night a week, play 1 show a month, and record material as we write it. That's it. 4. We don't take ourselves too seriously. We describe our band frequently as "If The Onion was a punk rock band," so, we like to keep things generally light and fun. Still listening? Awesome! Okay, here is what we're looking for in a drummer. 1. You can play to a click. This is basically non-negotiable. If you can't play to a click, we're probably not the band for you. 2. You can generally play our songs we have on spotify. Obviously, we're cool with slight adjustments to them as every drummer has their own unique flare, etc, but this is the music we play so, it can't totally change. That's really it. Don't have great gear, or sold your nice drum set years ago? No problem, we have a great kit and great gear. The gear/money, etc isn't the issue. Finding the right drummer who's a good fit for our band and our music is. Everything else can be figured out if those two things click!
