Greetings, Life long musician is offering to be responsible for selecting good quality, singable songs for your church's praise team. There are plenty of such songs out there, beyond what's made it to the current Billboard chart. The goal is to have more people singing, including myself, which isn't currently happening. As it stands now, the melodies and chord progressions just aren't there. Trying to 'pick it up' as the song progresses is futile, so everyone just stands there, staring at a screen filled with lyrics. The first step is that you have to want more people singing, often referred to as 'congregational response.' You have to understand why there's not any. It's the song selection. But no one ever talks about it. They act as though everything is fine. I'm not looking for a paycheck. I don't need to be on stage, aka 'platform.' I'm more than happy to meet in person for 30 minutes to further discuss the experiences which have molded my thinking and desire for change. No obligation. Tarrant county only.
