Established 2000's Pop Punk / Emo Cover Band Seeks Rhythm Guitarist

Description
Hello! We are a cover band, focusing exclusively on 2000's pop punk and emo covers (Blink 182, New Found Glory, Sum 41, The Starting Line, My Chemical Romance, Jimmy Eat World, etc.), and we are looking for a second guitarist. We currently have four members (lead singer, drummer w/ backup vocals, guitarist, and bassist), and a 45 minute set list. Right now we're working on recording a quick demo and throwing together a website, and once this is done we will start seeking out shows and expanding the set list. We're basically ready to go right now: we're currently tightening up the songs, and expect to start playing shows by August or September. You can find our current set list on our website: www.myonefriendtom.com. We really like how everything is sounding, but we're realizing that a second / rhythm guitarist would really help thicken out the sound for a few of the songs. We practice once a week, changing the date to work with everyone's schedule (usually Tuesday, Wednesday, or Thursday). We mostly practice through headphones straight into a computer (using an edrum kit). We know this is hella lame, but it allows us to save our hearing, all hear each other correctly, get our own custom headphone instrument mixes, and allows for us to be able to record every practice and listen back. We do play with real instruments live (real amps, acoustic drums, etc.), but we only practice with them once in a while to dial in our tones / live mix. We're looking for someone who fits in with our vibe, and can play their instrument well. We would prefer it if you're around 25-40 years old as that's the age group who grew up with this music, but if you're outside of this range and still love 2000's pop punk for some reason, that's not a huge problem. We're looking for a rhythm guitarist, so we don't need anything too crazy skill wise: as long as you can play power chords and play on time/beat, you're 90% of the way there for most of our songs. You must be a self starter, and able to learn all of the songs on your own. You also must have all of your own gear, and/or be willing to purchase whatever gear you don't already have for live shows. We're not super loud or anything but our guitarist plays a 20 watt tube head out of a 2x12 cabinet, so you should be able to compete volume wise with that. For headphone practice we have a nice tube "amp" all set up, so all you would need to bring is your guitar and whatever pedals you'd like to use. At a minimum, you'd probably want a tuner pedal and something to go from clean to distortion, like an overdrive. If any of this interests you, please feel free to reach out and send me a sample of your playing. If it seems like a good match, I can send you a recording from one of our practices or our demo. You can tell me if you'd like to come and play on a few songs in one of our practices, and we can go from there. Thanks for taking the time to read this, and we definitely look forward to hearing from you!
