Romeiro’s Landscaping is seeking hard-working candidates to fill full-time landscaping positions as Landscape Foreman and Crew Members. The ideal candidates must have experience operating all basic maintenance equipment and the ability to perform quality work in a timely manner, must be a quick learner and take direction well as part of daily activities. Consistency and reliability are strong requirements for this job position. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES • Mow or edge lawns, using power mowers or edger. • Care for established lawns by mulching, weeding, grubbing, removing thatch or trimming around flower beds, walks or walls. • Prune or trim trees, shrubs, or hedges using shears, pruners. • Gather and remove litter. • Ability to understand and follow Foreman’s orders. • Ability to work weekends a must. • Water lawns, trees or plants using portable sprinkler systems, hoses or watering cans. • Plant seeds, bulbs, foliage, flowering plants, grass, ground covers, trees or shrubs. Apply mulch when needed. QUALIFICATIONS • Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment. • Strong work ethic and willingness to travel. • Basic understanding of commercial landscaping – spring clean-up, mulch, pruning, weekly maintenance, fall clean-ups, seasonal color displays, etc. • Experience as a crew member in landscape installations and/or mowing maintenance operations. • Experience in operating vehicles and powered equipment such as mowers, chain saws, gas sheers, weed whackers, and blowers. • Minimum 1-3 years’ experience in commercial landscaping maintenance preferred. • Valid MA driver’s license.
