Join Deep Space Mind 215 for Day 2 of We Came to Work, a community networking weekend dedicated to Youth, Health, and Housing Join Deep Space Mind.215 for Day 2 of We Came to Work, a space to connect and co-create community health and wellness locally at The Icebox Project Space. This weekend focuses on creating connections and solutions at the intersection of wellness, housing, and youth inclusion in Philadelphia. We invite local young leaders interested in issues of mental health and housing, local housing organizers and youth workers, and/or those with lived experience wishing to make an impact on these issues locally. Deep Space Mind 215 is an emerging mental health co-op that centers and uplifts those with lived experience of mental health challenges, neurodiversities, and/or institutionalization or confinement due to these experiences. DSM.215 is seeking community-based and grassroots collaborators to work towards a shared vision of wellness in the city of Philadelphia. Day 2 - 11:30am-5pm 11:30am- 01:30pm || Build a Black Streetview: Workshop with mapmaker and potter Rachelle Faroul - Contribute to collective art-making while uncovering local monuments to Black memory.Screening: Roots Before Branches short documentary: Learn about the Young Futurist Series' Roots Before Branches Exhibition, a collaboration between DSM.215, The Young Artists Program, and Creative Resilience Youth.2:30-5pm || Youth, Health, and Housing solidarity session: Join DSM.215 and other community based groups who want to work intergenerationally at intersection of health and housing. Participants will learn from each other and vision work they want to accomplish together in the next year, bring offerings of opportunities for collaboration, and make commitments towards building shared visions of a community that centers wellness.Click HERE for Day 1.
