About this Event: A hand lettering workshop with a focus on modern calligraphy. Learn strokes, grids, holding a brush pen and full upper & lowercase alphabet. Join Caroline Staniski and Spruce Jax to try your hand at brush lettering! This class is for beginners and is perfect if you’ve been curious about modern calligraphy but not sure where to start or just want to practice! A better alternative to that other painting event. Every attendee will receive one $5 credit toward a non-alcoholic drink included with their ticket, as a toast to the growing lettering community! *Tickets will be capped at 30 attendees to give more 1:1 time to practice. Every attendee will receive: -Brush Lettering Workbook: 30-pages: -26 letter Uppercase Alphabet & Drills -26 Letter Lowercase Alphabet & Drills -Connecting Letters -20 Common Single Words -Practice Your Name -How to use a brush pen -Line, stroke, and grid basics -How to use a brush pen -References for Materials Tools: 1 Dual Ended Brush Pen ****Due to the personalized nature of this workshop, there are NO REFUNDS. However, you can transfer your ticket to another person. Safety precautions will be taken care of because of COVID-19. Social distancing will be applied as well as disinfecting of all supplies. About: Caroline Staniski is a Graphic Designer and Hand Lettering artist residing in Gainesville, FL. Currently, she is running her own one-woman led design business and has over 5 years of experience working to grow small businesses in Florida. She also holds a Master of Science in Entrepreneurship from The University of Florida and a BFA from The University of North Florida. 60% German (via Ancestry DNA) - Her favorite beer is Hofbrau Dunkel. Prost!
