Safe and effective control of unpredictable LEO encounters using hands-on techniques and tactics. *THIS SEMINAR IS FOR ACTIVE LAW ENFORCEMENT AND CORRECTIONS OFFICERS ONLY* We will focus on situations where an officer has to go hands-on with a suspect. We will cover arrest and control, weapons retention, weapons disarms, and when/how to transition to tools from a hands-on situation. We will teach you to work alone, and in concert with other responding officers. Tactics ranging from worst case scenarios to dealing with passive resistance will be covered. Avoiding both an initial over use AND under use of force, and how those decisions can affect the outcome of an encounter, will also be studied. Our instructors have a wealth of experience teaching a use of force continuum. All methods are reviewed and approved by Professor Hayes, an attorney and expert in law enforcement use of force.
