Description

There is power in our voices! Young and old community members share their civil rights stories and take their place in Ohio's history. How did and do we fight against injustice - then and now? The 2020 double pandemics of COVID + uprisings sparked by the murder of George Floyd awakened the world to racial disparities BIPOC and especially Black folks have known for centuries. Sit with elders and young people from communities throughout Ohio to hear their lesser known but true, lived experiences about this timeless struggle. The Equity Now Coalition (ENC) will host a KiMISTRY LAB event in partnership with the Ohio History Connection on August 21 and 22 from 1-4PM. This event is FREE and open to the public! We are proud to convene space and honor our young and old griots in sharing their social justice and civil rights stories. Save the date to join us and our storytellers for this KiMISTRY LAB. Make an Unbreakable Bond! KiMISTRY is a consulting firm owned and operated by Kimberly Brazwell which specializes in reshaping “fit” perspective by examining the intersectionality of equity and inclusion, behavioral healthcare and holistic wellness for a trauma-informed experiential application to human engagement.
