Our next prayer breakfast is August 28, 2021, when our guest speaker will be Fr. Eddie Martin. We are so excited to be back with you! Please join us for our next prayer breakfast, August 28, 2021 from 9:00am - 12:00pm at Oak Lodge Conference Center in Baton Rouge. The music ministry of Mercy Beaucoup will lead us in Praise & Worship, we will enjoy a wonderful meal and fellowship, and Fr. Eddie Martin will share his personal testimony. Fr. Eddie Martin's journey to the priesthood is different than most, as he married the love of his life, Jennie, in 1978 and had 4 children, 3 of whom are alive today. He worked as a chemical engineer, and he and Jennie created a family business (Greetings of the Heart, which is now Louisiana Gifts and Gallery, Inc.), until he felt and responded to the pull to give his life more fully to service others through the church. He enrolled in the diaconate formation program and was ordained as a deacon of the Catholic church in 2010. Following the birth of Jennie to eternal life, he returned to seminary and was ordained into the priesthood in 2016. Fr. Martin currently serves as Pastor to the wonderful people of the “Bayou Cluster” of St. Anne in Napoleonville, Louisiana, St. Philomena in Labadieville, and the Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mother in Plattenville. His is a unique priestly perspective with his family background and the five grandchildren he enjoys today. Fr. Eddie has a new book out called “The Last Dance”. A true story of Faith, Courage, and Love. Come hear Fr. Eddie’s personal testimony and what God has done in his life. All will be blessed!
