Join PHMEF on Saturday, August 21 to kick off the 2021-22 school year at the Silver Mile Back to School Bash! SILVER MILE BACK TO SCHOOL BASH 4:00-4:45pm  Onsite Registration and Packet Pickup 5:00pm  1-Mile Bubble Bash ($10 per person - includes entry to Fun Zone) 4:30-8:00pm  Silver Mile Health and Fitness Fair (FREE) 5:30-8:00pm  Fun Zone Open ($5 per person) 5:30-8:30pm  Kickball Tournament ($100 - $150 per team) On Saturday, August 21, at Penn High School, P-H-M Education Foundation will put a new spin on a beloved event to welcome P-H-M families to a new school year. The Silver Mile Back to School Bash will include our popular 1-Mile Bubble Bash, expanded Health & Fitness Expo and free health screenings by Saint Joseph Health System. We will also introduce a Kickball Tournament and Kids Zone with inflatables and activities. This event will give everyone a chance to reconnect in person, strengthen our community and celebrate the bright future of our students during the new school year. SILVER MILE EVENT DESCRIPTION 1 Mile Bubble Bash starts and finishes on the TCU Freed Field high school track and follows a course within the Penn High School campus. This event is an upbeat and entertaining mile-long fun run/walk that includes foam bogs and spirit stations along the course. The Bubble Bash is not a timed event -- strollers and strolling welcome! Kickball Tournament Tighten your laces and stretch your legs for our inaugural kickball tournament! Round up your friends and register your team of 8 members today (aged 12 & up). Organizations, businesses, clubs & families welcome. Final game played under the lights on Jordan Baseball Field! Official play times will be finalized and emailed to team captains at registration close. Silver Mile Health Fair & Fitness Expo The Silver Mile Back to School Bash is is a high-energy, family friendly event. After your run, walk or stroll, get your free health screenings at Saint Joseph's Health System Health Fair, visit the expanded Family Fitness Expo with interactive vendors and activities, check out our new Fun Zone with inflatables, food and more! FAQs What are my transportation/parking options for getting to and from the event? Parking will be available in front of Penn High School and Schmucker Middle School.  Parking and traffic will be restricted at the rear of Penn until the events are complete.  How can I contact the organizer with any questions? It's always a good idea to bring your confirmation of registration to any event/race! What's the refund policy? Refunds cannot be made once registration is accepted.  No refunds are made due to cancellation of the event for whatever reasons as determined by the race management company the P-H-M Education Foundation. The P-H-M Education Foundation is an independent, non-profit 501 (c) (3) organization dedicated to Supporting Excellence in Education in P-H-M Schools. Proceeds from all PHMEF fundraising events are returned to the schools by awarding innovative teacher grants, scholarships to students, staff development and other corporation-wide initiatives.
