Join us for a celebration of Walter Hood, recipient of the 2021 President's Medal of The Architectural League. The Architectural League is pleased to present its highest honor, the President's Medal, to artist and landscape architect Walter Hood during an in-person celebration on July 21st. Please join us for the festivities, including a procession, music and dance performances, poetry reading, remarks, and a specially designed installation by Harlem-based architecture studio BRANDT : HAFERD. This event is free, public, and open to all. Attendees will gather at the Acropolis, site of the historic 1857 Fire Tower, at 5:45 p.m., and process together to the lower level at Madison Avenue for the celebration.
