Take a ride 20' into the air on a Tethered Hot Air Balloon! We are so excited to bring back Transportation Exploration this year! Our newest attraction will be Tethered Hot Air Balloon rides from 9am to 11am. The balloon can accommodate approximately 42 guests every 30 minutes. Pre-registration is required to avoid waiting in a long line and to allow you time to explore all the other fun attractions and activities. From 11am to Noon the basket will remain grounded to allow those who were not able to pre-register or who may not be a fan of heights to hop in the basket and take a picture (all while staying on the ground). *The tethered rides will be completely dependent on the weather conditions. We appreciate you understanding in the event we are not able to lift the balloon into the sky and remain grounded throughout the duration of the event. **Thank you to the York County Visitors Bureau for sponsoring the Tethered Hot Air Balloon Rides! The Holthus Convention Center is located just north of the I-80 interchange in York, Nebraska.
