Join the San Diego and Orange County Communities at the Del Mar Race Track on Saturday, Aug. 28! Join fellow Cal Poly alumni for a fun-filled day at the track on Saturday, Aug. 28! We'll kick things off at 11 a.m. at Carruth Cellars Urban Winery and Tasting Room , giving us a chance to mingle with fellow Mustangs before we head to the track. Carruth Cellars is a five minute walk from the Solana Beach Amtrak Train Station located at 118 S. Cedros Ave #C, Solana Beach, CA 92075. Free bus​ transportation is available​ to and ​from the ​Solana Beach​ Amtrak Train Station to the Del Mar Race Track. Gates open at 12:30 p.m. so we'll head over to the track and bet on our lucky horse to win while enjoying time with friends at the exclusive shaded rooftop Il Palio Patio (accessible via the Stretch Run only). Food and drink will be available for purchase. The first race starts at 2 p.m. and last race ends at 6:30 p.m. Tickets cost $35 and include reserved seating and entrance into the facilities. Tickets will be mailed to you prior to the event or can be picked up at Carruth Cellars. The deadline to purchase tickets is Friday, Aug. 13. We've sold out before, so don't wait to buy your tickets! In addition to the fun activities mentioned above, we'll also have a Best Dressed Contest. A day at the races is not complete without a fabulous outfit, and trust us, this place is photo-worthy. So dress to impress and you could win a prize! Race Transportation Suggestions​:​ ​ Amtrak runs from Orange County and San Diego continuously to ​the ​Solana Beach Amtrak Train Station. The cost for tickets is $21 for an Unreserved Coach Seat or $32 for a Business Class Seat​. ​Parking at the Del Mar Race Track is $10 for General Parking or $25 for Valet.
