We currently have 2 excellent opportunities for Assemblers. The primary function of these positions is to produce components by assembling parts and sub-assemblies and gluing them in place. We are seeking candidates who are flexible who can work outside of primary job responsibilities and cross over to other departments. Good attendance is a must. Day Shift: 5:30 a.m. - 2:00 p.m. Essential Job Functions: Comprehend Specifications and Work orders; which includes revisions and instructions. Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions and orders to gather parts, subassemblies, tools and materials. Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies with highest standard of quality. Knowledge to recognize various types of materials both plastic and metal. Ability to safely operate various types of presses, saws, sanders, hand tools, weigh scales and measuring devices. Assure that all products are manufactured per order to the highest standard of quality. Document actions by completing required work order information and quality forms including part count and time to produce. Verifies specifications by testing completed component. Deliver parts and assemblies to other departments within the plant. Periodically checks products per company policy to ensure quality and uniform completion; resolves any identified problems and reports them to the Manager. Required Skills and Abilities: Ability to read, write and speak English. Basic ability in mathematics. One year of prior experience in manufacturing company – preferred. Mechanically inclined; ability to look at something that needs to be assembled or fixed and understands how to do it. Ability to comprehend how roller assemblies are designed and work. Strong interpersonal skills. Strong collaboration skills to work well with co-workers, management and vendors. Follow all safety rules and OSHA regulations. Maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with company procedures. Physically able to lift, carry and move 50 lbs. Dexterity. Good hand eye coordination. Dependable, good attendance with minimal absences. Flexible working arrangements; cross-train to fill roles outside of primary job responsibilities to act in the place of absent employee if necessary. Assume additional duties as assigned. Take direction from management and execute what is being asked. Performs other related duties as assigned.
