Do you have a talent and passion for language, teaching, and working with seniors? EBALDC is seeking energetic volunteers who would like to use their skills to teach senior residents of EBALDC's affordable housing sites English as a Second Language. Volunteer role will include planning lessons (curriculum can be provided), teaching basic English via Zoom, facilitating basic conversations, communicating clearly, and answering questions as they come up. Preference is for volunteers who are fluent in Cantonese and / or Mandarin. If you are interested in supporting the local community during these challenging times, please reply to this posting. The East Bay Asian Local Development Corporation (EBALDC) is a non-profit community development organization with over 40 years of experience in building healthy, vibrant and safe neighborhoods in Oakland and the East Bay.
