A beginner yoga class for any body and experience level! $10+ donation at the door (cash or credit), all proceeds go directly to MUFI. In collaboration with yoga instructor Danielle Buford, the Michigan Urban Farming Initiative would like to invite you to Yoga with a View at our farm in the North End neighborhood of Detroit. People from all body types and experience levels are welcome to join us for a relaxing, gentle yoga class as the sunsets behind New Center. Pre-registration is preferred. Classes are $10 at the door (cash or credit!) and limited to 25 people per class. All proceeds will go directly to the Michigan Urban Farming Initiative and turned dollar for dollar into produce for our community. The Michigan Urban Farming Initiative is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that seeks to engage members of the community in sustainable agriculture. We believe that challenges unique to urban communities like Detroit (e.g., vacant land, food security) present a unique opportunity for community-supported agriculture. We hope to empower urban communities by using agriculture as a platform to promote education, sustainability, and community while simultaneously reducing socioeconomic disparity.
