Press release from the City of West Palm Beach: 07/15/2021 8:30 AM   Dan Losey was appointed by DOJ to supervise External Force Investigation Team   West Palm Beach, FLA (July 15, 2021) – The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) has appointed Dan Losey, legal advisor for the West Palm Beach Police Department (WPBPD), to supervise one of the DOJ's External Force Investigation Teams (EFIT). Comprised of legal and law enforcement experts, an EFIT works alongside Internal Affairs investigators in law enforcement agencies facing recurrent, excessive use of force complaints. The EFIT guides, educates and directs law enforcement agencies and, when necessary, conducts investigations of use of force. Mr.  Losey will continue in his current role as WPBPD's legal advisor and serve the DOJ on a case-by-case basis. This press release was produced by the City of West Palm Beach.
