Free Virtual SCF Math and Writing Boot Camps

Current or incoming students interested in additional academic preparation can register for free online math and English boot camps at State College of Florida, Manatee-Sarasota (SCF). The boot camps will run Monday through Thursday, July 26-29 and August 2-5, and will be administered virtually by the SCF Tutoring and Academic Success Center. Participants may work independently at any time, with instructors available during morning and/or afternoon open hours. Students may also visit the tutoring centers at SCF Bradenton Monday through Thursday, 9 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 2-8 p.m., and SCF Venice Monday through Thursday, 11 a.m.-6 p.m. and Sunday 1-7 p.m. to receive supplemental assistance. The math boot camps will prepare students for the following courses: Intermediate Algebra, Topics in Mathematics, Liberal Arts Math, Elementary Algebra Development or pre-college math modules. The English boot camp is designed to prepare students to enter SCF's Written Communication 1 or 2, speech or literature courses.
