BROOKFIELD, WI — A Brookfield bar owner has submitted an application to host two outdoor concerts in July and August.
Robert Mueler, owner of Bobby's Bar at 14735 W. Lisbon Road, has submitted a temporary use permit to the city.
The concerts would take place outside of the bar on July 24-25 and Aug. 21-22 from noon to 10 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 8 p.m. Sundays, according to the license application. Fifty to 75 people are planned to attend, and there will be parking on-site and on the neighboring property east of the bar, according to the license application.
The event will also benefit two different children's charities, according to the license application.
The plan was reviewed at Plan Commission meeting on Monday. During the meeting, Alderman Mark Nelson asked Meuler if the bar had a plan to keep people with alcoholic beverages from leaving the grounds.
"We'll make sure like we do inside the bar that somebody's not walking away with an alcoholic beverage in their hands," Meuler said.
That the application will go before the Legislation and Licensing Committee and the Common Council on July 20.
