Black Warrior Riverkeeper is teaming up with Birmingham's District 5 to help clean up the streets in our community! Join us for a day of service on Saturday, July 15, 2021. Safety: This event will take place along the roadside in an area that may not have sidewalks, so please only sign up if you feel comfortable with this. What we encourage volunteers to wear/bring: 1. Comfortable clothing that you do not mind getting a little wet or dirty (preferably long pants) 2. Your protective mask 3. Closed-toed shoes 4. Water What we will provide: 1. Garbage bags 2. Gloves 3. Litter Pickers 4. Safety Vests Black Warrior Riverkeeper’s mission is to protect and restore the Black Warrior River and its tributaries. We are a citizen-based nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting clean water for the sake of public health, recreation, and wildlife habitat throughout our patrol area, the Black Warrior River watershed.
