Press release from The Silo Art Gallery at Hunt Hill Farm: July 15, 2021 The Silo Art Gallery at Hunt Hill Farm in New Milford will exhibit the visual works of international Brazilian artist Guilherme Lepca and 72 paintings created by local kids during GOAT Day on July 10. The exhibit is part of an interesting two-prong exhibit that day, as works of 72 local children produced during the GOAT Day event will also be shown inside the art gallery prior to Lepca's showing. Lepca is currently an artist-in-residence at Hunt Hill off Upland Road for the next few weeks. He is known internationally for his works that mix collage and painting techniques such as acrylics and spray painting. He has had solo exhibits in Brazil, Argentina, Chile, Uruguay, and New York. Domestically, his works have been shown at New York Fashion week. Locally, Lepca was approached by the Danbury Museum & Historical Society two years ago to create a portrait of American contralto Marian Anderson, who lived in Danbury for nearly 50 years. That portrait now hangs in the museum and Lepca also designed the new logo for the museum. Lepca was invited to come to Hunt Hill by its owner Alessandro Piovezahn, the two men have collaborated in the past on several artistic endeavors for the United Nations and have been working with Piovezahn to develop the new visual identity for The Silo and Hunt Hill Farm. "I've known his work for quite some time and it's fascinating to see his creative process. He really does think outside the box," Piovezahn said. Two of Lepca's works now hang at Hunt Hill Farm. After he leaves New Milford, Lepca will be on to London for business. He currently operates a design, animation and illustration studio that has created projects for Nestle, Coca-Cola, Peugeot and Johnson & Johnson.
