Hatem Bridge Work To Result In Lane Closure

While crews repair the road, the Hatem Bridge will be restricted to one lane on the eastbound span until Monday morning. The right lane on US 40 east will be closed from 7 p.m. Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority. Work will involve "full-depth roadway repairs, including work on the curb and sidewalk tying into the bridge," authorities said. If there is bad weather or something else delays the project, the Hatem Bridge roadwork may take place Friday, July 23, to Monday, July 26.
