CLIFTON, VA — The Fairfax County Police Department charged a 21-year-old Clifton man late Tuesday with second-degree murder following a deadly stabbing at his home earlier in the day. Carter Setti-Camfiord is accused of stabbing his father, Jason Camfiord, 50, in the upper body, police said. Rescue personnel pronounced Jason Camfiord dead at the scene. The father and son lived at the home together, authorities said Wednesday. Shortly after noon Tuesday, Fairfax County police officers went to the 13000 block of Compton Road in Clifton in response to a report of a pedestrian struck by a car. Detectives believe Setti-Camfiord intentionally jumped in front of the car and then told the driver that he stabbed someone inside a nearby home. Setti-Camfiord was immediately detained by officers when they arrived at the scene and taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries resulting from the crash.
