The Johnson City Public Art Committee is pleased to announce its third 5 x 5 Art Exhibit and Fundraiser at the Pavilion at Founders Park, 105 W. Main St., in downtown Johnson City from 5:55-9 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 6. The exhibition is free and open to the public.
This year's event will feature more than 170 artworks that have been generously donated by more than 60 area artists. Each artwork, measuring 5-by-5 inches, will be sold for $25. Also on offer this year are ceramic vessels made by local ceramicists and accompanied by seasonal floral arrangements. Each vessel and flowers will be sold as a set for $50. As attendees peruse the exhibit, they will enjoy a live musical performance by jazz quartet Adrian Nuñez, Hunter Sparks, Noah Wise, and Parker Lewis.
Proceeds from the fundraiser will benefit Johnson City Public Art.

As in previous years, all artworks will be sold on a first-come-first-served basis. Therefore, attendees are encouraged to arrive promptly.
Jason Brown, the juror of the current Biennial Outdoor Sculpture Exhibition, will conduct tours of the recently installed leased sculptures in Founders Park at 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Tour participants should meet by the restrooms at the Pavilion at Founders Park.
