SANTA MONICA, CA — An odor investigation is underway Thursday in the downtown Santa Monica area, according to the Santa Monica Fire Department. The incident was reported about 9 a.m. Thursday in the 200 block of Wilshire Boulevard, near 2nd Street, according to fire officials. "Avoid the area, possible delays, hazards," fire officials said via Twitter. No further information was immediately released. It's unclear what the odor was. This is a developing story.
