SAN DIEGO COUNTY, CA — Crews have halted the spread of a brush fire Thursday in northern San Diego County. The blaze was burning near the intersection of Gopher Canyon Road and Interstate 15 in Deer Springs, according to North County Fire Protection District. Smoke was visible in the area. .@NorthCountyFire is assisting @CALFIRESANDIEGO with a vegetation fire in the area of Gopher Canyon Road near the 15 Freeway in Deer Springs.
