Serious Crash In Candia Injures 3 People, One Flown To Boston

CANDIA, NH — Candia police, fire, and multiple surrounding towns responded mutual aid to the scene of a two-vehicle head-on crash on Thursday. The accident occurred at the intersection of Main Street and Raymond Road. First arriving units at about 12:30 p.m. found a truck and mini-van had collided and reported 3 people were injured. Some of the occupants were heavily entrapped in the vehicle, and crews from three towns used the jaws of life to extricate the occupants. A medical helicopter was requested, and a landing zone was set up so that DHART medical helicopter could land nearby. After nearly an hour the patients were extricated from the vehicle. Two of the victims of the accident were transported by ambulance to the hospital. One person was transported by DHART to Mass. General Hospital. The accident is under investigation and the condition of those involved is unknown at this time. As information becomes available the article will be updated.
