Students from area towns like Homer Glen, Lemont, Lockport and Romeoville are celebrating accomplishments throughout the semester, including making Dean's List and graduating. The following information was provided by Merit Pages News: Lemont student named to Spring 2021 Dean's List at John Carroll University Thomas Faron of Lemont has been named to the Dean's List at John Carroll University for the Spring 2021 semester. Students eligible for the Dean's List must have completed a minimum of 12 semester hours within one semester and have a quality grade point average of at least 3.5 on a 4.0 scale. Student Named to Wheaton College Dean's List for Spring 2021 Semester Wheaton College student Caleb Maue of Homer Glen, was named to the Dean's List for the Spring 2021 semester. To earn Dean's List honors at Wheaton, an undergraduate student must carry 12 or more credit hours and achieve a 3.5 grade point average or higher on the 4.0 scale. Students Make Dean's List at Miami University Miami University students who are ranked in the top twenty percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2020-21 have been named to the Dean's list recognizing academic excellence. Students recognized are: McKenna Harbison of Lemont, Cecily Pryor of Lockport, Sydney Scepkowski of Romeoville, Gina Krynski of Homer Glen, Rachel Martin of Homer Glen and Daniel Cruz of Homer Glen. Miami University is in Oxford, Ohio. Students Named To President's List at Miami University Carly Davidson and Kris Hackiewicz were named to the Miami University spring 2020-21 President's list. Miami University students who are ranked in the top three percent of undergraduate students within each division for second semester 2020-21 have been named to the President's list recognizing academic excellence. Davidson, from Lockport, is earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Pathology and Audiology. Hackiewicz, from Lemont, is earning a Bachelor of Arts degree in Biology, Premedical Studies. Students graduate from UW-Whitewater Kayla Trojak from Lemont and Vanessa Olinger from Homer Glen earned degrees from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in a hybrid ceremony on May 14-15. Trojak graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in psychology. Olinger graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in communication. More than 1,500 students received degrees this May, including 1,458 from the Whitewater campus and 94 from the Rock County campus. The graduating class included 12 international students, 99 military veterans and 122 nontraditional students, defined as undergraduate students who are 25 years of age or older. In addition, 150 self-identified students with disabilities received degrees. Millikin University Spring 2021 Dean's List Millikin University announced the names of the outstanding undergraduates who have been named to the Dean's List for the spring 2021 semester. Students who attempt 12 graded credits during a fall or spring semester and earn a grade point average of 3.5 or higher earn Dean's List honors. Students earning a perfect 4.00 grade point average on 12 graded credits attempted earn High Dean's List honors. The students named to the Dean's List at Millikin University are: Madelyn Alvarado of Homer Glen, Brynn Becker of Lockport, Tyler Dooley of Lockport, Hannah Henson of Lockport, Logan McCormick of Romeoville, Isabella Voss of Lockport, Taylor Young of Lockport and Julia Zmucki of Lockport.
