WOODBURY — Are you the owner of a Woodbury area business who's looking to give back to your community while gaining exposure by instantly reaching around 50,000 people? Woodbury Days is still in search of sponsors for its 2021 celebration, which will take place from Aug. 20-22 at Ojibway Park. Interested businesses can provide a monetary donation, trade services or products, or donate prizes for the event's BINGO tent or Woodbury Days Button prize drawing. Sponsorship levels range from Nickel (a $250 donation) to Platinum (a $5,000 donation). Platinum sponsors will be given free entrance to the parade and a discount on booth space in the business fair, according to the Woodbury Days website, and have their logo displayed in several places, including on the front cover of the event guide, on the Bandshell stage and in event ads. Additionally, sponsors who donate at least $1,000 will have access to Woodbury Days' VIP experience – which will include the opportunity to showcase one's business during livestreams on the Woodbury Days' social media pages, said Amy Lombardi, president of Woodbury Days. Lombardi said sponsorships are especially important to Woodbury Days this year, as the cancellation of the 2020 event meant a lack of sponsors – even though the event's organizers were still responsible for costs like insurance and storage. "Operating costs from 2020 obviously stuck around even though we didn't have any sponsorships coming in, so we had to dip into our reserve funds in order to be able to pull off the (2021) event," Lombardi said. Lombardi said she would encourage area businesses to sponsor Woodbury Days – both because of the exposure they gain from doing so, and as a way to give back to their community. "It's really great knowing that you're putting the funds that you do have back into the community," Lombardi said. "You're helping out the community to have this wonderful event."
