I'm sure you still look here to check on things. You are just a ghost to me now. Most days I can't believe that I ever knew you at all, and I guess that is true, I knew you, but I tried to convince myself that you were different than I truly knew you to be. It used to burn me up, how you treated me. But it doesn't anymore. I'm grateful. My experience with you made me stronger. You used to identify with the Phoenix, but it wasn't you who was one, it was me. You are the fire that burns. I never thought I'd be able to really forgive you, but I do now. You couldn't help your nature any more than most other people can. Thank you. Really, thank you. Your emotional arson allowed me to reconstruct everything. You did me a service, I just didn't realize it at the time. There was a part of you that I loved, the fire within you.
