Criswell Chevrolet Collision center is expanding. We need a motivated painter’s helper in our shop. Business is booming and this is a great opportunity to come and grow into a full-time painter. Six auto stores feed work to this shop so there is always plenty of work. Increase your income and build a future with Criswell Automotive. Please have body shop experience. As a Paint Helper you will be responsible for assisting the body shop painters with a variety of tasks including but not limited to prepping materials, assisting with material replacements and simple maintenance for the paint booths, upkeep of paint booth cleanliness, mixing ingredients, replacing filters and other tasks as assigned. In this role you’ll: • Prep surfaces for painting according to factory standards • Follow safety guidelines when operating paint machines or attending to paint booths. • Assist painter with pre and post op processes including prepping spray panels, buffering and sanding. • Mix paints according to OEM specifications • Mask parts of the vehicle that is not being painted. • Clean, wax, polish and refurbish vehicle. • Assist with cleaning in the body shop and paint booths. • Maintain a clean work area. • Request materials as need to complete daily projects • Perform paint jobs efficiently and according to company guidelines. Qualifications & Requirements: • Ability to operate equipment to perform painting functions as well as automatic and standard transmission vehicles. • Ability to lift a minimum of 50 pounds. • Valid driver's license with good driving record • Must be a team player and have the ability to work repetitively on complex tasks. • Must have a valid driver’s license and safe driving record. • Must be able to pass pre-employment screening (background) Benefits • Insurance: medical, vision, dental • 401(k) • PTO and Paid Holidays • Paid Factory and I-CAR Training • Employee discounts on vehicle purchases, parts and service repairs • Internal career advancement opportunities
