PLANT HEALTH CARE TECHNICIAN (Spray Technician) Position Summary: This position will be responsible for leading all Plant Health Care aspects in the field. The position will manage the Plant Health care program by properly monitoring, diagnosing, and treating plant material. What you’ll do: Plant Health Care Responsibilities • Safely and accurately store and apply plant health care products • Complete and maintain chemical application logs • Perform fertilization program and integrated pest management on properties • Maintain chemical inventory on a monthly basis • Properly maintain PHC vehicle and inventory • Comprehensive understanding of Colorado native insect & disease life cycles, plant biology, and soil biology • Demonstrated knowledge of Colorado plants, turf, and plant diseases and how to remedy • Established knowledge of insect & disease life cycles, plant biology, and soil biology • Continually evaluate and present ways to improve efficiencies, routes, or applications • Train new team members on Lifescape PHC standards • Maintain open communication between crew, Production Manager(s), and Garden Manager • Seasonal Snow duties as assigned You are: • Problem Solver – You are motivated to solve problems and puzzles that stump most people. You take gratification in getting there first • A Strong Communicator – You clearly and confidently articulate your ideas and can relay information in an efficient and effective manner in both written and verbal communication Experience: • 5+ years of field experience (Preferred) • Valid driver’s license with approval by fleet insurance carrier (Required) • Previous experience in Colorado pest/disease identification • Proficient in calibrating spreader/sprayers • Previous experience mixing/handling chemicals and pesticides • Previous experience operating snowplows, truck and trailers, box trucks, and other maintenance equipment • Bilingual (English/Spanish) (Preferred) • Certified Landscape Technician (CLT) (Preferred) • CDA Pesticide Applicators License – QS (Qualified Supervisor) (Preferred) Compensation Range: $40,000 - $48,000 plus OT Lifescape Colorado offers the following benefits for this position: • Paid a weekly salary and eligible for OT pay • Paid Sick Leave and Paid Time Off • 401(k) with a 4% employer match • Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance • Employer Contributions to HSA Account • Supplemental and Pet Insurance
