Hi, I’m a multi instrumentalist, mainly guitar player… I can play decent bass, drums and keys. So I have a bunch of gear and a pretty high end looper. What I’ve been doing solo is to layer some different instruments and build a song with a full band’s worth of sounds and then play on top of that. It works pretty well, but there’s a predictable lack of dynamics that you would get naturally playing with live musicians. Also it’s virtually impossible to work in changes. My goal is to get together with another musician who’s interested in live looping in a way that creates a vehicle for musical expansion and is designed for live performance. Much of my standard cover set is built on the Grateful Dead, the Beatles and Pink Floyd… I guess what I’m hoping for is a similarly independent looper-guy who’s down to trade solos, make new music and play out. TLDR: multi instrumentalist with looper seeks like minded musical partner to make trippy live music.
