This position is a full-time non-exempt position. The technician is responsible for responding to water mitigation and/or emergency services jobs. Technicians work in the field providing service for customers in need of restoration services. The technician is required to be on call 24/7, and overtime may be necessary, depending on work volume. The water mitigation portion of the job entails demolition, setting up/monitoring drying equipment, and drying out properties damaged by water. The emergency services portion of the job entails securing a building (tarp, board-up, etc.) externally damaged by wind, fire, etc. This may require getting on roofs to evaluate damage and secure a tarp. This position is eligible for sales commissions on signed GC-Repairs Jobs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Core duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Complete water mitigation work with a servant's heart – customer service Respond to incoming jobs via email and telephone – On Call 24/7 Drive to jobs within branch's coverage area Site inspection of water loss with customer utilizing moisture meters for moisture readings and laser measurer to sketch affected areas Create and monitor drying logs Conduct any necessary demolition of non-structural materials Set up and monitor drying equipment Photograph all affected areas, drying equipment, work completed, and moisture readings Utilize online software to track jobs both internally and externally with insurance carriers, third party administrators, and any other applicable parties Close out jobs with paperwork, photos, notes, etc. Manage appropriate use of sub-contractors Sell GC-Repairs jobs, as applicable Access roofs by means of a ladder. Must have ability to carry a 40' ladder and set it up at the house. Photograph all affected areas and completed work Utilize online software to track jobs both internally and externally with insurance carriers, third party administrators, and any other applicable parties Close out jobs with paperwork, photos, notes, etc. Manage appropriate use of sub-contractors Sign repair work, if applicable
