PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION Installation of thermal and acoustical insulation for commercial and industrial mechanical systems including (but not limited to) Piping, Duct, Tanks, and Equipment. POSITION REQUIREMENTS ALL employees must be able to: o See and hear (either naturally or with correction) in a manner that would not endanger the safety of the employee, or other located on the job site. o Climb and maintain balance on ladders and scaffolds while working at height. o Be physically fit enough to stand for long periods, kneel, crouch, or crawl into work areas. o Lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds. o Work skillfully with hands to reach for, handle, and manipulate tools, equipment, and materials. o Follow spoken or written instructions (English). o Read a tape measure and do simple addition and subtraction. o Recognize differences in the size, shape, and form of objects as well as visualize solid objects from flat drawings or pictures. QUALIFICATIONS • Ideal employees are available for work Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Weekend work is often available, but not a requirement. • Ideal employees will be able to pass a drug test and criminal background check. • Ideal employees will be of legal U.S. Residency (Driver's License, Florida I.D., Social Security Card, U.S. Passport) or be in possession of a current Non-Resident Work Authorization Card or Permanent Resident Card. (E-Verification) • Ideal employees will have a valid driver's license, their own reliable means of transportation, and be to work on time within a 70-mile radius of the city center (Tampa, Orlando). • Ideal employee will be comfortable while working at heights. Working height typically limited to between 6' and 20' above grade - but can be much higher. • Ideal employees will have an active email address and a checking account capable of receiving direct deposit payroll. • Ideal employees will be responsible for their own footwear and general-duty work clothing capable of withstanding conditions of typical Florida construction sites. All safety equipment, Hi-Vis clothing, PPE, and non-standard jobsite personnel requirements will be provided to the employee at no cost. • Ideal employees will be responsible for the purchase and maintenance of industry standard tools including, but not limited to Knife, Tape Measure, Hand Saw, Straight Edge, Aluminum Hand Sheers, etc. All specialty tools, equipment, ladders, and non-standard insulation tool/equipment requirements (Training, Certifications, Orientations) will be provided for the employee's use/benefit at no cost. COMPENSATION Pay Scale: 90-day training period: $15.00/hr Experienced Insulators*: $16.00/hr - $23.00/hr *Based off training period performance (Previous Experience, Craftsmanship, and Attendance) Benefits Offered: Insurance after 90 days (Dental, Medical, Vision), Major Holidays Off (New Year's Day, July 4th, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Christmas Day Paid), 1-week vacation after 1 year (Paid).
