InSite Telecom is currently seeking a certified, experienced and local (Orange County, CA) Lead Tower Technician, who can meet the physical and technical requirements of the job, and successfully clear a background and drug test. Must be able to travel, work overtime (including weekends) and evening hours, and holidays if required. Physical Requirements: • Ability to push, pull, lift up to 80 lbs. • Maintain OSHA safe weight requirements for safety harness (up to 280 lbs.) • Climb up an outdoor tower with a 25 lb. tool bag up to and in excess of 300 feet in all types of weather • Perform technical scopes of work with hands and tools per client specifications and standing for at least 8 hours while standing either on the ground, aerial lift or on a tower Technical Requirements: • Knowledge and experience of carrier sites to include: AT&T, Verizon Wireless, and T-Mobile. Microwave experience is a plus. • Perform Job Safety Analysis, promote team safety and proper PPE and risk mitigation • Ability to lead crews and delegate work in an efficient manner • Ability to complete required paperwork, including JSAs, Daily Work Reports, COPs, etc. • Installation of telecommunications components • Assist in performing Sweep testing, Fiber testing, PIM and down tilt procedures • Identify essential materials and tools to carry out scope of work according to client and industry methods of procedures (MOP) • Must be professional and be able to help establish and maintain strong client, vendor and internal company relationships • Must be able to follow, support and enforce all company, client, and government safety and operations policies and procedures • Must have demonstrated ability to work with Project Management, Supervisors and other stakeholders to establish and maintain job budgets (hours, equipment and material expenses, etc.) • Ability to operate tools of trade (hand and power tools and test gear) • Prioritize and organize work to maximize time efficiency with given deadlines • Ability to troubleshoot sites, escalate and communicate • Computer skills (working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook) Required and Preferred Certifications: • Tower Climbing & Rescue • OSHA 10 or 30 (required) • RF Technician Awareness Certification (required) • CPR/First Aid (required) • Valid driver license, with clean, insurable driving record (required) • Anritsu or PIM sweep (preferred) • Boom/Manlift (preferred) InSite Telecom offers competitive benefit packages and an opportunity to participate in a 401k plan.
