Certified/Licensed Pesticide / Herbicide Applicator
This position requires current State of Florida license / certification for commercial application of
Herbicides, or with prior experience in Herbicide Application, the ability to obtain certification with the following endorsements: Natural Areas, Aquatic pest plant.
Two (2) years’ experience is required.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Ability to pass background check for entry onto military / federal installations
Maintains a strong positive relationship with management, clients, and potential client.
Implementation of the corporations Health and Safety Plan (HASP)
Maintains and detailed records and logs of chemical use, location used.
Has and maintains current Florida Driver’s License
Demonstrated knowledge of State, Federal, and local, rules and laws that apply to the application of herbicide chemicals.
Ability to work in rough terrain as found in Florida wildland areas.
Must speak and read and write English language and be capable to perform the mathematical calculations required to properly mix and apply chemicals in accordance with the label rates.
Maintains assigned equipment in clean and operable condition.
Maintains CEU’s in accordance with Florida regulations for applicators license
This position requires or may require the licensed applicator to oversee additional non-licensed laborers in the proper and legal application of herbicides / pesticides on a job site.
Non mandatory skills:
Experience in the safe operation of watercraft to include Air Boats and Amphibious Vehicles, tractors, ATV’s UTV’s and Swamp Buggies.
