I am hand raising java finches. They are almost six weeks old, and will be fully weaned onto a pellet diet and ready to go home in a few days. I have one white, one silver, and one gray. They will all change colors when they’re adults and get brighter markings. These birds are TAME like parrots and want to be with you to play and snuggle. Always want to be on your shoulder and they fall asleep in your hand. Playful and boisterous in a very small package, only as big as a sparrow but as much personality as a puppy. These would be excellent first birds. They can be kept singly if you have a lot of time to give but also do very well in pairs and will remain friendly even with multiple. Rehoming fee of $200 each or 2 for $300. A lot of time and care goes into raising birds including around the clock feeding when they’re little to get them this friendly with humans. Hand fed java finches are hard to find in the US but are very popular in Asia. They stay tame, want to interact with their owners and can even be taught tricks!
