Outlaw Country INSPIRED BY THE AMERICAN CONDITION Drawn to songs about the poor, hard-living working class, the good times and the bad, the beauty of life and the sorrows of death the Sleepless Truckers bring Outlaw Country, Americana, Southern Rock and Red Dirt to the West throwing in a Central Oregon Smokey twist for a redneck tilt-a-whirl experience you won’t soon forget. Band members include: Phillip Austin: Phillip cut his teeth as a singer/songwriter from Oklahoma then playing the Honky tonks and dive bars in Nashville. After paying his dues on Broadway and spending a few nights in the Davidson County Jail he set out on a grand adventure across the United States looking for a new place to call home. 10,000 miles, 18 states and 57 breweries later he was drawn to the wide open spaces of Central Oregon. Redmond would be where the Great Plains Drifter finally threw out the anchor and put together an Outlaw Country band. Jozee Moss: ‘The Outlaw Jozee Moss’ on Pedal Steel, Mandolin and Fiddle: Jozee Wales on anything and everyone. After the war Jozee was determined to live a useful and purposeful life helping out his fellow man. He laid his pistols down and found his calling in the form of nine strings. After joining up with the Outlaw Country group ‘The Sleepless Truckers’ Jozee found himself a wanted man. Rarely is there a happy ending in his line of work. There's always another trail to ride, a bounty to collect, and rifts to shred. 'The Outlaw Jozee Moss' knows it's a long hard ride, but its the journey that counts so he rides on. Gabe Rodriguez: Gabe is known worldwide for serving up incredible Telecaster riffs and Frisbee golf drives. Early on in his career he was a lumber jack in western Oregon and twilighted as a bluegrass player on the weekends. It didn't take long for Gabe to realized that it was a lot easier to meet girls playing guitar in the bar than it was choppin trees down in the woods. Gabe gave up calloused hands for finger blisters and moved to Nashville where he would polish his chops and reach Nashstardom. After he conquered Nashville he decided to head his wagon west again and meet up with Phillip Austin and the Sleepless Truckers to secure his place in the Honky Tonk Hall of fame. Ron Lange: Ron (Don Juan) Lange Plays the Bass almost as good as he plays the field. Ron was born in the Oregon Badlands making him a badass from birth. He grew up quick and he grew up mean his fists got hard and his wits got keen and he loved riding motorcycles from town to town. After winning a good brawl in the local saloon one night he was offered a job driving motorcycle at the local crash up derby arena on Friday nights. Ron didn't bat an eye and took the job on the spot. Ron took home the gold while and taking out every car and truck in the place during the craziest game of chicken you've ever seen. His spirits were high but his motorcycle was totaled. With his hay makin days in the rear view Ron picked up the bass and never looked back. He now makes a great living serving up the fattest bass lines with never ending sides of Don Juan suave. Joe Garder: Joe (Groove Cat) Gardner on drums. Joe was down on his luck and had Jenny on his mind. With his fingers crossed he dropped his last quarter into the pay phone and dialed her number: 867-5309. To his surprise Tommy Tutone picked up and immediately put him to work. It started out as just another gig but soon took a fantastic direction. Tommy enjoyed Joe's swingin groove so much he decided to put Joe on the record! Now anytime anyone has Jenny on their mind Joe is right there too!
