In this class, we introduce you to the welding tools in The Foundry's Metalshop in making Flower Metal Sculptures. Join us in the Metalshop and learn how to create your own Fall Flower metal sculpture by carving through metal with hot plasma. This session safely introduces the process of cutting out shapes in thin steel. Come with a specific design in mind, or on paper, or just chalk out your shapes with us in the shop to cut and assemble your own floral masterpiece. You will leave this session with a better understanding of metalcraft and a 2D sculptural display of your new skill. NOTE: Long Sleeves, long pants and closed-toed shoes are important to wear for safety in this shop. Class Cost: $75 (materials fee included) Class Size: Min 4/ Max 6 This class needs to meet the minimum enrollment in order to run. Participants will be notified of the status of class the Monday prior to the first session. In case of cancellation, participants can choose another scheduled date if available or request a refund. Ages: 18+    A NOTE ABOUT COVID -19 The CDC recommends that individuals who are not fully vaccinated continue to wear a mask and maintain physical distance. This means that vaccinated individuals will be allowed to be unmasked in the building if they so choose. Please be supportive of everyone's right to choose what they are most comfortable with.
