As a response to our difficult community reality, we invite you to "Let's Heal Together" Caucus... A period of heightened fearfulness, anxiety, health concerns, grief, educational disruption, political disturbance, and unresolved racial tension has left a significant impression on the community. Consequently, an undisclosed amount of people are still seeking relief, community, comfort, hope, and healing. In response to this difficult community reality, Fathers and Sons Speak, a non-profit organization led by Rev. Dr. Charles Dorsey, collaborating with COR AME Church and other like minded organizations will host and be present for the “Let’s Heal Together” Caucus. This conference will bring together faith-based and community leaders, local representatives, educational institutions, and mission centered organizations to (1) offer a collective response to a significantly traumatic time in our country, state, county, and city (2) model a pathway toward healing and collaboration (3) demonstrate the power and meaningfulness of a collective community event. This event will also acknowledge the bravery of essentials workers while commemorating the 20 year anniversary of the 9/11 attacks. The caucus is a call to all to lend voice, presence, and solution to our next steps. It will create a safe space to acknowledge both exemplary and imperfect that lay ahead as we attempt to heal together. Attendees will caucus around: 1) Healing Toward an equitable healthcare future beyond CO-VID 19 2) Healing Toward a Healthy Family though Father-Son Relationships 3) Healing Toward an Anti-Racist Social Justice Framework 4) Healing Toward Advancing Classroom and Workforce Equity in Education
