Description

This presentation teaches campers about the ecological importance of snakes, identification of Texas venomous vs non-venomous snake species, and precautionary measures to avoid snakebites. You also will learn facts and dispel myths about snake species in your backyard! In this fun, interactive and family-friendly program, educators will help answer all your questions about snakes. With guest speaker Greyson Offermann who grew up surrounded by animals and the outdoors. He has always been interested in reptiles and amphibians and often goes on trips to find them in New Mexico and West Texas. Over the years, he has kept and bred an extensive collection of snakes, invertebrates, and geckos including Rhacodatulus leachianus, the world’s largest gecko. He enjoys sharing his passion for the natural world with others. Next year he will join the Conservation Corps stationed in Flagstaff, AZ. He will attend the University of Arizona in '22 studying biology.
