Fresh food in schools and communities is not an option, it is the right of every child. The fresh ingredients that is core to the passion and innovation in your culinary creations is the primary reason you are receiving this invitation for this event! The Event: Bikers in Wonderland, Sunday, September 19, 2021Join us for the baddest, maddest, culinary adventure ever seen -- Bikers in Wonderland is where Chefs will take center stage to showcase their culinary creativity and unique style. Wonderland - where the Mad Hatter awaits. Get ready for a foodie adventure and join us down the rabbit hole as Independence Gardens presents Bikers in Wonderland - where the engines will roar in salute as the most amazing chefs serve up creations that will transport you to a delicious Wonderland! Our Why: Since 2013, Independence Gardens have connected children to food through actionable, impactful nutrition education programs. The hands-on, experiential, engaging approach - from the edible, outdoor learning spaces to the Chef-driven LIVE cooking program, Come and EAT IT, thousands of children are actively learning about the food they are growing, harvesting and eating! More important, our community oriented programs are providing accessibility to fresh food for ALL children. Proceeds from this event will support Independence Gardens' programs including: 10 new Outdoor edible learning spaces in schools 20 hydroponic programs; 10 Little Sprout (pre-k gardening programs) 40 schools participating in Come and EAT IT Event Website: www.bikersinwonderland.com Independence Gardens Website: www.independencegardens.org Who we are:  Independence Gardens is a parent-led non-profit organization founded in 2013. Our overall mission is to connect kids with food through actionable, impactful nutrition education programs.  This is accomplished through partnership with our schools and community.  It begins with an experiential edible, outdoor learning space to our hands-on student-led (and Chef driven) Come and Eat IT! Campaign.  This collaborative approach provides every child an engaging, meaningful, and transformative education experience that is Action based, Playful, Passionate, Leadership focused, and Engaging. Independence Gardens’ programs foster and develop in children life skills such as self-esteem, leadership, decision-making, nutrition, and love of community.
