Journey Retreat The Journey Retreat is designed for youth (13-18) who want to be confirmed. Confirmation is a special service whereby an individual confirms the promises made at their baptism (by their parents) as their own. At the retreat, youth are prepared by interactive teachings and practices of the essentials of the Christian faith: God's story of salvation throughout the Bible, our identity in Christ, how to read and study your Bible, how to pray, and how to share your testimony. The weekend concludes with baptism and/or confirmation at the 10:45 am worship service. A mandatory class will be held at the Barn on Sunday, August 1st, from 12:30-2 PM to prepare for the retreat, and discuss the overall purpose of confirmation. Lunch will be provided. Confirmands and parents are asked to attend. The Journey Retreat will be Friday afternoon, August 13th through Sunday morning, August 15, at Camp Kulaqua. We will be providing transportation to and from Camp Kulaqua. The cost of the retreat is $125. Please pay by cash or check (made out to Grace Anglican Church, with Journey Retreat on the memo line), and drop off payment in a sealed envelope at the front desk. You can write "ATTN: Jack McNeil" or "Journey Retreat" on the envelope.
