The 2nd Annual Scholarship and Black Excellence Gala gathers together community members who are dedicated to supporting nursing scholars. We cordially invite you to attend the 2nd Annual Scholarship and Black Excellence Gala. This event gathers together community members who are dedicated to supporting local nursing scholars. The Dr. Kupiri Ackerman-Barger African American Nursing Research Scholarship will be awarded to a graduate scholar conducting or presenting nursing research/projects that have a focus/aim on African American health and the disparities that exist in the community. Several scholars, Licensed Vocational Nursing (LVN) students to Master prepared nursing student, will receive the Capitol City Black Nurses Association Scholarship aimed at mitigating financial hardship and recognizing community service. The evening includes an excellent catered dinner, a Silent Auction, and live music.
