A recurring film showcase of young latino filmmakers in Los Angeles. Three short films in one night. Presenta Zone is a film screening series of young Latinx filmmakers. Friday July 16th marks our very first screening where we will present three short films by four filmmakers. For the inaguaral screening we will screen Antonio Luna's punk-scifi thriller about addiction and pleasure "Brainwave", Sebastian Rico's touching film about the manager of a taco shop "Managing", and Chris Vinan & Nahuel Vilar's humorous depiction of the relatinoship between a grumpy senior citizen and his AI nurse "Medbot". Doors open at 7:30pm. Cinephiles & attendees will be encouraged to consume complimentary beverages and have witty conversation with each other. Screening will start at 8:00pm. A secret afterparty will follow at a to-be-disclosed location for continued witty conversation and thoughtful dissection of the films. RUN OF SHOW 7:30pm - Doors open. Conversation & beverage drinking. The venue is located right next to the Mariachi Plaza metro stop on the gold line. TICKETS Admission is FREE. But seating is limited and interest is high so please RSVP to get a ticket.
