Description

Come gather and dance at The Justice Jam with Roselit Bone for Yoga For All Movement, making yoga and mindfulness accessible to all! We are so very pleased to welcome Portland's very own Roselit Bone, a band that takes you back to a time where you had to create a little chaos to make an impact. In a review of their album, Crisis Actor, Sean Jewell of American Standard Time writes, “Roselit Bone present a bizarrerie of song, a black mass of greased leather that oozes cool, and billows terror. Their music moves seamlessly from conjunto to cosmic country, from surf to rockabilly, transporting the listener from black forests to lonely casinos. It lives mournfully and defiantly in motels and dive bars of the mind, guided by strings, gliding on woodwinds and brass, over the heat mirage of pedal steel and electric guitars.” Yoga For All Movement is an organization that's on a mission to utilize yoga and mindfulness as a vehicle for social impact and systemic change. With services located in both Santa Cruz and Santa Clara counties, YFAM focuses primarily on working with individuals experiencing incarceration, underserved youth emerging into adulthood and low-income seniors experiencing isolation post COVID-19. Come gather, dance and be righteous in the name of justice for all! Yoga For All Movement (YFAM), is about making yoga accessible to all in Santa Cruz County and the Central Coast. Two years ago, we started the conversation about making yoga a practice that not only feels good for incarcerated individuals, but also as a way to reduce the impact of institutionalization. Since then, we have expanded our outreach and vision, teaching yoga to individuals in recovery from substance abuse, survivors of domestic violence and youth. All for one and YOGA FOR ALL!
