NATICK, MA — Natick is accepting applications from residents to serve on the Conservation Commission, which oversees natural resources planning in town. Volunteers typically serve 36-month terms. Here's more from the town of Natick: The Conservation Commission's mission is to serve as the conservation conscience of the Town and providing community leadership for natural resources planning. By coordinating closely with Town agencies, boards, and commissions related to town development, the commission works to protect, and where possible, enhance plant and wildlife habitats. The commission strives to keep informed of advances in the field of environmental protection and of the actives of neighboring conservation commissions to maintain current and regional perspectives on environmental matters. Members shall possess the skills and experience which can contribute to the purpose and mission of the Conservation Commission and shall have a diversity of exposure and interests so as to reflect the broad interests of the Natick community.
